Directions

  1. Place one can of sweetened condensed milk in a pot of water. Bring to a boil and simmer gently for 3 hours. This will turn it into a delicious caramel (dulce de leche).
  2. Line a baking dish with parchment paper. Chop the chocolate into pieces. Heat the second can of condensed milk in a saucepan, then add the chocolate and stir until completely melted into a thick mixture.
  3. Roughly chop the mixed nuts and stir into the chocolate mixture. Pour into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with the back of a spoon. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until firm.
  4. Let the boiled can of caramel cool slightly, open it, and scoop the sauce into a bowl. Cut the fudge into bite-sized pieces, spread some caramel on top, and sprinkle with salt flakes.
